[UK-CONTEST] IOTA -" nul points" for Fixed-to-Fixed, pse!

You have to keep the interest of the fixed non island stations or there
will be much less activity.
You can imagine lugging your equipment to an island (other than via a
bridge) to call CQ and only work another 200 or so similar stations on
other islands.
Sure the UK is an Island as is Japan but I think is you zero point inter
- non island QSOs, these guys will just no longer take part.
I would accept 1 point per QSO for these types of QSO but otherwise I
think the scoring should remain the same. The contest is still
increasing in popularity and I'm a great believer in "if it aint broke -
don't fix it."
There will be times when the 100w or less island stations can command a
frequency and call CQ, but for much of the Contest they will be relying
on S & P (or should it be S & M - I think anybody who goes to an Island
with 100 watts must have a masochistic streak)....
I can imagine sitting on an island calling CQ looking for other Island
Stations if we have frightened off all the non island participants...
There should be NO certificates or Trophies for non Island Stations..
Just my 2p worth
