Precisely - isn't that what every island station wants?
It is a contest, after all - and the proposal to increase
the points for island to non-IOTA QSOs means there will
be less reluctance on the part of island stations to work
streams of non-IOTA stations.

I'd suggest that there is a consensus that the idea is to
encourage, or give a greater incentive to non-IOTA stations
to work islands rather than each other.

As such, they (the non-IOTA stations) will have more island
QSOs and are more likely to have award credits to claim.

Having non-IOTA stations working one another is of little
benefit to the IOTA programme?
