Great idea... count me in.

However, a pity that you expressly wish to forbid side-swipers, since that 
is my preferred manual keying method (in fact, with it being 2 straight keys 
back-to-back, doesn't that make it twice as hard?).... ;-))

But, if it has to be straight then so be it.

Also, I cannot see the harm in paper logs, so long as everyone types them 
into their PC and submits electronically.
