To make a 40m dipole have a low SWR on 15m you add about 20cm of wire
a 15m quarter wave from the centre of the 40m dipole. Of course do this
on both sides of the dipole! This will have virtually no impact on 40m
as it is still a high current point on 40m but on 15m it will be a
voltage point and will capacitively load the dipole to bring it down in
frequency. Trim the extensions to centre lowest SWR to centre of 15m.
The ends of the wire will be a high voltage point on 15m therefore
ensure it does not get too close to any other wire. I use mono-filament
fishing line - light in weight, strong and a good insulator.
