Hello UK-Contesters,

Just to echo Dez G0DEZ's recent WAE-Contest posting... it's
the QTCs in the WAE Contest that make it such a magic
contest. A full set of ten QTCs correctly received in the
WAE-CW Contest makes the swapping of a single (possibly
busted) post-code in RoPoCo look and feel really tame in
comparison!

G3TXF's effort in this weekend's WAE-CW produced a "QTC to
QSO ratio" of nearly two-to-one across all bands, but with a
"QTC to QSO ratio" of 2.3:1 on the main band of 20m.

 Band QSOs QTCs Mults
-------------------------
   80: 95 35 124
   40: 209 503 150
   20: 527 1229 158
   15: 76 3 74
   10: 0 0
-------------------------
Total: 907 1770 506
Total Score = 1,354,562

It's the magic of the QTCs that defines the WAE Contest.
With the excellent logging software available, almost
everyone (outide Europe) nowadays sends their QTCs in the
correct sequence. And receiving them (by the European end of
the QSO) is great fun too. Getting a full set of ten clean
QTCs into the log is just as much fun as finding another
Multiplier!
