[UK-CONTEST] Operating a 24 hour contest and staying awake

Never tried it myself, I find that a couple of hours NFD or an AFS 
session is long enough but a member of one local club who might be 
reading this said that at the end of a 24 Hr. contest session (CQ WW?)
he was hallucinating. Whatever you do don't even think of driving 
afterwards as if you have an accident you might find yourself detained 
at HM's pleasure.
Who knows whether some people take stimulants to help them stay awake?
Perhaps as in other 'sports' contestants should be tested for 'dope',
I forgot there isn't any cheating in amateur radio contests.
