Just my two pennath,
I wont be doing SSB, its not that I dont mind it (much prefer CW any time) but
with my shack is right next to our bedroom I dont want to have the wrath of the
XYL on me while trying to work stations on SSB up to 1.00am in the morning, (she
is in bed by 22.00 as we get up to do our horses at 5.30 every morning) or has
everyone got a sound proofed shack?

I can not for the life in  me understand why there is not just different
sections, but this has all been said in the other mails that have been before
mine so I am not going to repeat it.
I think that it will spoil an excellent contest (for me anyway)
Happy New Year All
John G4RCG

I fully agree with Lee. I seem to remember a reason for axeing the old
80/40 SSB event was that 2 or 3 stations hogged the DX window and
wouldn't let anyone else get a look-in.

It seems to me that HFCC ought to give as much consideration to the
wishes of those who actually enter their contests as to that given to
those who don't. But I don't think we've ever been asked.

If a 160m SSB event is needed, let it be a separate event, with a
frequency limitation of 1850-1920 KHz.
Assuming it was held at a different time to the CW event, I would
endeavor to support both.

As for this mixed version, most likely I will be avoiding it.
