Hi all,
Been looking at the posts with interest.
For what it’s worth, my personal choice is CW. I need to run low (QRP) power levels here, and suffer badly with all sorts of noise on 160/80 Mtrs.
My real-estate is very small, and living on a housing estate, I’m very restricted in what I can do for an aerial.
Over the recent years I’ve been almost exclusively a CW op, I’ve enjoyed the hobby more, and found the thrill of the case more exciting with QRP (thanks David, G3YMC)
Is all this bickering really necessary, or are we going back to the great A/B debate ?????
I’ll be passing a curious eye over the contest in the new year, may even have a dabble, but mode? well that’ll be MY CHOICE and no one else's.
As for the “propper G” crap, who is going to replace those who sign up to the club above? yep, the “newbies”. Perhaps with all the computer generated muck and the effluent from our modern electronic lives being spewed over the bands, the only way may be CW?
73 and good DX (with what ever mode or power you choose).
Kevlar jacket and AR-15 at the ready.
Bill G7PVZ.
