Those 99.5% of calls have an entry solely because they appear in the
various printed callbooks (based on information issued by the licensing
authorities). The number of amateurs who actively participate in
qrz.com and have gone to the trouble to set up an account and add their
own details is MUCH MUCH lower than that, probably down to 5% or so of
all amateurs and 20% of those who actively operate on hf. I think the
value of qrz.com has been overplayed in some areas.
I do have a minimal entry on qrz.com which I have ensured is correct
but that is about it. I view it as being an online logbook, normally
searched directly from my logging program, and little else and have no
wish to tell my life story there.
As for QSLs, I used to reply 100% to bureau cards but have lost
interest in doing so, so those received just get filed among all the
others in shoe boxes. I guess when I kick the bucket they will just go
into the recycling....
