Can I please use the reflector to pose a question to the VHFCC?  What is the logic behind the rule that stations operating from other than their registered address MUST use the suffix /P ?  Even the OFCOM licence conditions do not make this mandatory.  And as /P is generally accepted to mean "portable" how can it relate to operation from a fixed station at a different address?  If there is some special pleading that makes this rule sensible I would welcome hearing it. Personally I can't think of any.
