Yes John, the maps make interesting reading. I'm still drooling over Bob's!
Your assumption was certainly wrong. If Bill G3JYP (IO84SN, 195Km), Ed G0EHV/P (IO94LI 275Km) or Gerry G1SWH (IO83QO 283km) aren't around then my nearest G is always over 300km away.
