Hi Peter,

Not entirely, depends on where you are. If situated in an area of high 
activity, then you'll be able to work some stations. If you are out on a 
limb, it may be less easy. Why not come on and see what you can hear. Don't 
be afraid to call someone, they'll make every attempt to pull you in.

During the sporadic Es season (May to August, approx), you'll be able to 
work all over Europe with that set up, as the band opens up.
