[UK-CONTEST] Individual Short Contest Callsigns

I think there needs to be some clarification on the qualifying scores and
what the leader/winner table means.

i.e.

CQWW DX CW (THE contest) SOAB ( THE premier league event)

EF8M is the winner and makes 11,000+ QSO

G** makes 3000 QSO which is close to the G record
Doesn't get a point towards the 5 required?


IARU 432MHz to 248GHz contest

XYZ is the winner with 10 QSO in the 248GHz section

G** makes 4 QSOs and gets a point?

Am I reading this correctly?

Ofcom have started accepting applications from individuals for Short Contest
Callsigns.  See
http://www.ofcom.org.uk/radiocomms/ifi/licensing/classes/amateur/

It involves a bit more effort to qualify, but is not too difficult.
