Ian,

I see from your club website that your group appears to meet all of the 
criteria which I mentioned,
my comments were not aimed at 'proper' clubs which just happen to have 
'Contest Group'
as part of the club name but at those groups which exist just for the 
purpose of entering contests.
I will repeat my suggestion that groups that don't meet the criteria 
should compete in a separate section.
