You should log exactly what you were given you should be OK.

If it was letters - fine
If you get no exchange at all - "I am not in the contest OM" - then that is
zero (most logging progs won't accept nothing

In SSB AFS last night some EU stations were giving me some sort two
character province or area identifier instead of a serial number -
Hungary for instance, do I lose those points?
