I had a similar experience, it seems that some SO2V ops want their cake 
& eat it too, calling a station & then leaving him (or her) hanging 
whilst going back to the run frequency to call CQ is a waste of their 
time and is downright rude.
As for expecting a called station to reply without a calling stations 
callsign how can anyone be sure who is being worked? (or did I 
misunderstand that statement?)
