I have done this with a height difference of about 3 feet across the ground.
Reg is correct the side guys need to be closely monitored an adjusted during
the lift. My guys were rope and I always used a harvesters hitch (I
believe it was also called a lorrymans hitch) not only is it easy to adjust
but it gives a 3;1 purchase so taking the slack up is easy.
