With apologies for the cross-posting, this message was originally posted on the CDXC Reflector. John, G3WKL, is still looking for a few more to join this workshop. If you are in the general area so that Wyboston is not too far a trek, you would be very welcome to join. Please mail John directly at g3wkl at btinternet.com to work out the details.

Original mail from G3WKL:
I am pleased to be able to report that at the recent IARU Region 1 Interim Meeting we had a measure of success in this difficult issue of deliberate QRM (DQRM). You may recall my posting a couple of weeks ago saying that my approach, following the failure of a more direct approach in 2007 and 2008, was to invite the meeting to explore the issues through a workshop. As I had hoped, this helped to open minds to the extent that we could agree a programme of activity over the rest of this year. This is that several national societies will undertake an analysis and identify options for combating the part of the problem that has come to be known as the "me - me / intentional" type of interference.
A part of the deal is that RSGB will be providing the necessary background briefing and information so that the individual groups can undertake their analysis and solution generation in a consistent and systematic way. We will be using a "continuous improvement" approach that some may be familiar with if they have been involved with Six Sigma / Kaizen in their professional life. Knowledge or experience of it, whilst helpful, is not required. RSGB will also co-ordinate progress and outcomes.
I have delayed in communicating the above as I was keen to use the opportunity of some of the CDXC members getting together at the annual dinner to start the process within the UK. As one of the keen advocates of countering deliberate QRM I am delighted that CDXC have confirmed that they are able to make a room available at Wyboston Lakes on Saturday 20th March from 11am to around 4pm. This will allow a group of us to undertake a workshop and pilot the approach that will become the model for others to follow.
I am therefore looking for 6 to 8 volunteers, who can get to Wyboston Lakes for 11am and perhaps make another one or two sessions later in the year. We might, for example, re-group during the RSGB Convention. It's difficult to organise the formation of a group via an e-mail, but I'm looking for a balanced team so we will need active types, keen to get "stuck in", people who are happy to contribute but who don't want to lead, as well as those who are more reflective - the more cerebral thinkers! Perhaps the most important quality is to have an open mind; the analysis part of the process is made more difficult if people have a strong feeling for their "pet" solution. I will be preparing some guidance / training documentation for the workshop with a view to circulating it to the group of volunteers next week.
Apologies for the long e-mail, but I would be grateful if I could have some volunteers. I'm going to be away from Thursday for a few days and unsure about my e-mail access - hopefully, Chris, G3SVL, will be able to coordinate responses in my absence.
