Let me speak up in favour of retaining the 12 hour restricted section. For
me, it's the difference between having a serious go at it vs. just coming on
to work a few bits of juicy DX. For those of us with full time jobs and
children still at home, 24 or 48 hours out of the weekend playing radio is
simply not on.

I managed a few hours on Sa. morning and afternoon - 21MHz was in fine
shape, best for a long time. 7MHz was wide open to VK around 16:00 with some
incredibly good signals. I managed a few more hours late evening on 7MHz and
3.5MHz, although 80M is a challenge for me with small aerials & high noise
levels. The icing on the cake though was working two VKs on 28MHz on Sunday
morning. And no fancy aerials here - 100W from a K3, nested 40-10 dipoles at
40ft from a city centre garden.

Welcome back, sunspots! And please keep the 12 hour restricted section! Best
BERU for a long while for me.
