I've been V/U/SHF contesting since the late seventies and I have always 
sent a real signal report as part of the exchange.

It makes me smile when HF men talk about increasing the rate, a 
productive 70CM event out here in the west might be 40 QSO's in 48Hrs! 
I've done 23cm contests and worked a dozen in 24HR's But if just a few 
of those are tropo into SM or OK etc. I consider it a "good result"

It would be a retrograde step if the events turned into a 5nn tu affair.
