Hi,
I'm toying with the idea of taking part in the 23cms UK AC contests so
I've just been resurrecting a Microwave Modules 144 to 1296 Transverter
- I last used it in 1988 ! I've discovered that the 2SC1594 PA
transistor has an open circuit base to emitter junction. It's probably
a forlorn hope, but anyone got any idea of a source for a replacement?
Or a suggestion for an alternative. The drive transistor is still
working and gives +21dBm out. I suppose another possibility might be a
more modern PA module, 10dB gain would take it back up to the original
1.5W level. I guess cost might be a problem, it's probably not worth me
spending serious money on such and old unit.

Any suggestions welcome.
