For some reason I can't post to the reflector today - perhaps you could
put this on....

Hopefully this Contest can be allowed to stay in the Calendar, 
activity yesterday certainly seemed to be up, with numerous Japanese and

US Stations participating along with various DX stations and the usual 
crop of Europeans. I increased my CW-only QSO number by over 100 
compared to my winning effort last year.

It seems ill-advised to give up a contest day in the prime season just 
because we have suffered a prolonged sunspot minimum. Maybe in this 
event you can't just press the F1 button and hope to win if you are the 
fastest runner - but there is nothing wrong with a contest where 
knowledge of propagation and S & P skill has its reward.

Participation over the years low-sunspot from 2006 has been in the 
80-90s, that in the Low-Power Contest has struggled to make 40.  I think

BOTH should be retained.
