Thanks to John and Dez for G3WW for pointing out that such an award exists..

Such a dope; even my logging programme supports it !

But I know of no contest then that uses this in their exchange?

Hi John;

Been out tonight; but will take a look !!!

I didn't know if I was being contentious; but, Knowing that QRA locators
seem to have at least established themselves on QSL cards; It did get me
wondering whether this could for a super elite award; since there are so
many locators to work !

It would eclipse DXCC AND IOTA !!!

Large squares (eg IO) account for 342 options including Wet Squares
(haven't worked out how many dry squares there are); Short form (IO91) then
multiplies this by 100 - 34,200 !!! Even if half of these were wet Squares,
that is one huge number!! I guess it would be an award with no end; but
anyone at the top truly has a lifetime achievement. And your QSO's don't
become deleted because an entity changes status!!!

It would enable QRA short form to be a perfectly acceptable contest exchange
too; for ANY contest// National Societies to adopt !

See - I wasn't joking !!

PS - I know a lot about the Worked all Chip shops, which was an anti-award
"joke" by some of the folk in the Midlands in the late 1970's!! Was a bit of
fun !!!

Nigel/Dave you have just shot an arrow
through my W.I.P. on a new award for the very reasons you mentioned...UK
Contests HF and others involving stations outside the UK need a long term
goal. We used to have "Worked all British Counties" until government start
tinkering.

So I am working on HISTORIC COUNTIES for starters. We could end up with
something to rival the US Counties Award. I have lots of loose ends to tie
up before submission for approval.

Lots of really interesting stuff on the web and available in electronic
form.
