After some recent good results in the Restricted section the Bristol
Contest Group decided to go back to the Open section this year but
with a few experimental aspects. Although we thought we were ready to
go on Friday evening we were subsequently somewhat technically
challenged which meant a last minute change of configuration. So we
were still building the station up to 90 minutes after the start!
Weather mostly dry but windy; however heavy rain came to visit for a
few hours on Sunday and around 30 minutes were wiped out by static
rain. The team got on with it as ever and we survived to tell the
tale! Usual excellent results on 20m and some good DX on 40 as well.
10m was a washout with only a few QSOs. Log already submitted and we
hope everyone else will follow our fine example!
