As you know, I don't do SSB myself. But I think there is a very strong
reason why us QRP operators don't enter the assisted categories. When
QRP we tend to mainly search and pounce. Things spotted on the cluster
tend to generate pileups so it is questionable whether we want to waste
time joining those pileups which I at least often find hard to crack.
OK, we may miss a few useful mults, but I don't think it makes much
difference. If I were in assisted then I WOULD need to work them to
compete with the other assisted's.
It is pretty easy to get certificates for leading G in the CW QRP
sections, I have quite a pile of those (but probably not for last
weekend's IOTA which I found pretty dull and lost interest)...
