If you haven't come across this site already you will want to bookmark it.
http://pileup.ru/
It lists claimed scores for the major contests in table form for each category taken not only from 3830 (which many entrants do not report to) but also the 'logs received' records of the contest sponsor so you know the running totals from day to day and by entry closing date have a pretty good idea of who is going to finish where. A very handy site to look up all the majors for present and previous years all in one place. Look up your placing in world/continent/own country There is also a comparison tool where you may compare with another stn, was his pts per qso better than your own etc. As a matter of interest for this last cwww event my pts/qso was down to 2.5 from the usual 2.8 due to the large no of JA's, UA0, UA9, BY,shame those long distances are worth only 1 pt!. Also you may get a surprise as I did when looking at the WPX listings for the ssb event earlier this year which I had long forotten about. I find that am listed as #1 Asia and #3 world
and appear to have sufficient margin to survive quite a few 'dings' in the checking process to maintain those positions. Whilst I am naturally pleased about that it is ironic that I am quite ambivalent about sideband whereas I bust a gut on cw and never get that high.
Take time to explore the site and Valery's own site at RG5A, I see he made a phenominal effort from p$)f last weekend.
