Hi,

HF and VHF have different standards and operating procedures, and they have 
evolved historically. It's natural to expect what you are used to to be the 
same when moving from one area to another.

Ian makes a good point re imposing standards from one part of the spectrum 
on another. However that goes both ways of course. Contest committee take 
note please when "harmonising" the rules.
