Thinking of changes to the Sprint contests what about this for an idea
to add some Zing to them Nigel (TFX)
Contesters start on any mode they want from SSB, CW, RTTY PSK.
Once a contact has been made and a QSO completed with all the usual
required info passed between the two, the Call sign that initiated the
call e.g.the CQ caller and responder must both then change mode to make
his or her next QSO, this is completed in all subsequent QSO's.
QSO's must be completed in the following order SSB> CW>RTTY>PSK>SSB etc
etc naturally after starting on the mode you want, so if you start on
SSB your second QSO must be in CW followed by RTTY etc, if you start on
CW then second QSO RTTY followed by PSK etc.
Will certainly make the grey matter work somewhat. May not make for huge
scores but the amount of work for each QSO is massive compared with
other contests.
All modes worked so if participants can't operate CW get a reader or
better still try and learn.
Thought this might produce some comment who knows??? Hi Hi
Should prove fun for someone.
