Hi to the group,

With regard to the issuing of GnXX calls I notice that some of the
holders of these callsigns are quite coy when asked how they acquired
the call & don't like to admit that they are really G0??? or whatever.



One ploy I have seen used was to 'create' a club, complete with committee,
and then approach the holder or family of the callsign wanted. Then, tell
said family that the callsign will be used as a club station, and once
acquired, use as your own whenever you like.
