You're right, I was on the band an hour before the start and worked GM and F with no problems, I went away for my tea and came back to noise and no stations.

In the end I had ten QSOs.  Four of them were S&P and that took 45 minutes then I ran (crawled?) for a while - I thought things had picked up because I worked another four stations in two minutes while running and then it dried up.  Twenty minutes of calling with no replies later and I went S&P again and struggled to work two more Qs before the finish.

It was like working the 144MHz UKACs all over again :-)
