Thanks for your reply.

I accept your point about the 100 Watts power level restriction in most contests, but I don't know of any contests that specify "100 Watts to a wire antenna". There may well be some, of course!

Interestingly I have entered WPX SSB for the last 3 years in the section to which you refer.  I usually feel it would be more interesting for me personally if I was not up against stations with Tribanders though! :-)  That said, I can fully understand why CQ have that as a section in their contests.

I also take your point about querying listings and will take a look into it. Thanks for that.
