For the past 30 years mee ole mate Bill and I have a chat down at the Red Lion every Saturday afternoon, when it's nice and quiet. But y'know what, these days now and again we are invaded by dozens of football fans, making a heck of a racket. We can't hear ourselves think. It's so selfish - they should go and celebrate their big win somewhere else. This is where Bill and I have our quiet chat, innit. There are hundreds of them all enjoying themselves in high spirits, laughing and singing. I dunno, some folks have no consideration. Course, it's great for the landlord's business but he doesn't care about us regulars. There's usually at least a half dozen of us at that time, enjoying our half-pints. Hmm, spose there's nothing for it - we'll have to give up those Saturdays when United are at home and meet on Tuesdays instead, or perhaps we'll sit beside the river when the weather's nice. But it'd feel strange meeting Bill somewhere else on those half-dozen weekends each year. It's just not fair - someone should do something about it.

While I had a few hours myself in the test, I also had a Sunday lunchtime SSB sked with a VK on 14.118 (with 14.125 as an alternative if QRM lower). It was impossible to get through to him on either frequency.
