It's definitely allowed..and as far as I'm concerned, most certainly not frowned upon. Please do have a bash and see how you get on. My only advice would be not to send and extraneous information.
RST+ Serial number is all that is required. (ie no macros with age, qth, type of computer....shoe size etc).

Sunday 9 Jan sees the 80m CW AFS contest, is PC generated morse code
allowed/frowned upon in this contest ? I have worked digital modes including
PSK31 but never in a competitive contest.
