I'm aware of at least one antenna installation which used a number of
long o/h runs of semi-rigid co-ax supported on a wire catenaries. The
cable used was Cellflex from RFS (half the price of the equivalent
Andrews LDF4/50). Black UV resistant tie wraps (from RS?) were used to
attach the cable to the catenary.
Last time I heard none of the cables had broken or fallen down although
I'm now no longer in a position to know.
From what I've seen looking through the fences (anorak mode on!)at
Cellphone base station installations Cellflex seems to be a popular
choice, there must be many reel ends of this cable around somewhere if
not I believe that RFS may supply short lengths.
