Yes, as another long time touch typist, I agree that most modern 
keyboards are decidely yuk and seem to be designed by people who use 
one finger. This one on my desktop is not too bad (but still loads of 
keys not in the place you expect them), the 98SE laptop I use for 
contests is usable but not ideal, probably a lot better though than 
modern laptops. I wonder how people get on with Netbooks which seem to 
have miniscule keys - and I would never want to use things like iPads 
in a contest...
