John,
My understanding is that this is a eutectic process.
I have seen the demonstrations at the model shows, and I have seen
the results of friends in my model flying club who have used this
on components (repairing engines and making exhausts). The
model flying components are subject to heat and vibration and do not
seem to fail, and the demonstrations a the shows seem to produce a tough
joint.
