[UK-CONTEST] Loss of pts

After checking through our clubs logs I see why we (Scunthorpe) lost over 600pts. It was in March Data when one of our ops recorded his qso's as psk instead of rtty. 
What I cannot understand why wasn't it picked up at the time? I presume the adjudicator uses a computer so it should have given him zero pts not over 600, and why has it taken all this time to be spotted?
Dont get me wrong the adjudictors do a great job but something has gone wrong here.
