There is in fact a footnote to G0OIL's letter! I was also a member of the  
same contest group. As a result I got on well with Dave and attended a party 
at  his QTH. As a result I met my now wife who is a very good friend of 
Leslie,  Dave's wife. However even though Kim could fly the RAE she shows no 
interest in  becoming one of us. Nor is my son interested. You win some and 
you lose  some
