[UK-CONTEST] Letters

Casually following the 'letters' thread being just an occasional HF 
contester (I need a much bigger antenna & I only run 400W!). One of the 
points which may already have been made but needs repeating is that only 
a small number of HF contests are sponsored by the RSGB therefore 
there's no point in people writing anti-contest letters to the RSGB.

Out of curiosity I looked up several of the 'anti' letter writers on 
QRZ.com & see that some of them get so
few hits that it makes me wonder whether they are really active at all 
or if so perhaps it's just to work a small band
of pals on an 80m net.

I also see that our esteemed editor only has just over 600 hits on QRZ 
(apparently isn't a contester).

However I have to agree with the comments that exchanging 59(9) reports 
on every QSO IS a waste of time.
