The sprints actually run August - November.....
I also avoid the sprints, I cannot get enthused by the format and
nobody else in our club seems remotely interested.
As for country members, we do have an old member who moved away and
supports us in the CC, and happens to be the only one who enters the
data section. If a 25km rule was introduced he clearly couldn't
participate. However the current table is dominated by a few clubs who
have loads of 'distant' entrants, and also by those clubs who can get
many members on. It may be fairer to introduce a limit to the number of
entrants per club, as done in AFS, so that smaller clubs can get a bit
more limelight...?
