Indeed totally off topic. Thinkbroadband have been particularly woolly
in their coverage of this, elsewhere it is referred to as 4G, the
successor to 3G. The problem is that after digital switchover some
areas will be using channel 63 for digital TV and 4G mobiles will use
channel 64 and up. Without adequate IF filtering in the TV and no stop
band there is a risk of in band interference. Surely the answer is not
to allow mobile operators to use channel 64 frequencies in those (few)
areas where channel 63 is used by TV. But that would be too simple for
Ofcom to understand...
