Thanks to all for the various bits of feedback. Great response and much appreciated. Now working all OK.

Changed settings on COM port configuration as suggested in Wintest wiki - thanks Ian

Working well - still no sidetone from laptop but I understand this is an issue common to laptops.

Hope to work as many of you as possible from 9M2/ IOTA still to be decided,  in a couple of weeks time.
