[UK-CONTEST] Cyprus Amateur Callsigns

Assuming Wikipedia faithfully reflects the ITU position, I find it rather
odd.
As D9 is allocated to South Korea, I would think it logical it be excluded
from Germany's DAA - DRZ block allocation. According to Wikipedia the ITU
doesn't, having left it open to Germany to issue D9+ letter(s).
It appears several administrations pay little heed to what Wikipedia
represent as the finer points of ITU call sign formatting. I gather I
haven't witnessed the legitimate use of a Bahamian call in almost 50 years,
only ever having heard C6+letters.
I wonder what the ITU would make of the Bhutan authorities having recently
issued A5 to Zorro, JH1AJT?
Curious stuff.
