Wow what fantastic conditions. Decided to complete a trio of 21MHz single
band entries in this years WWs and this was by far the most enjoyable. Band
open here from around 07:00 to 20:00 both days. Propagation to all sorts of
places with some good signals from the north Pacific and JA. Lots of
interesting propagation effects with multi-path reflections on close in
stations and some auroral distortion on signals on or near the polar paths.
As ever mainly S&P but some good mini-runs including around 50 straight USA
late on Sunday.
Rig was the IC756ProIII. Antenna for all except half a dozen Qs was a
sloping wire dipole pointing around 300 degrees. The other half dozen were
worked on a 5/8 vertical which was better to AF.
Some all time new ones and new band/mode slots so good for the DXCC totals.
Many other zones and countries got away but good to hear them all the same.
787 QSOs, 29 zones, 107 countries for 209, 848 points.
Thanks to all for the wonderful QSOs. Hope the conditions stay up for 28MHz
in a couple of weeks.
Logs uploaded to LOTW and e-QSL.
