It was great fun to set the Writelog DX Cluster window to mults only and
sort them by azimuth. I then tried to clear them all but each time a few
tricky ones were left (GJ on scatter etc). I was hoping for 1000 QSOs +
100 DXCC over the weekend and amazingly stopped at 1200 QSOs on Saturday
evening when I went for dinner. When I got back the band had died
leaving only weak Caribbean running W/VE.
No ZLs were heard or worked but my final zone, the tricky zone 32 was
filled in by working E51Z in what must have been the biggest simplex
pileup of the weekend, fortunately he was S8/9!!.
I worked one KL7 in a pile who was a genuine 9+25 and another called me
when I was running. I think if anyone can analyse the cluster spots then
there should have been approaching 200 DXCC workable from G* on 10M over
the weekend, which I recall is the number workable on 10M in either the
00 or 01 contests.
I use Writelog as I like the layout, however it may be time to change
programs as i still cant work out how to QSY the sub-Rx to a cluster
spot. It should then be a case of monitoring the DX on the sub-Rx and at
the right time swap VFOs, work them, and then flip VFOs back.
