[UK-CONTEST] Generators

Lots of interesting stuff on generators.

The Clifton ARS avoids live filling by using LPG to power its generator.
Two generators were converted about 15 years ago. One was stolen, but
the other (3KVA if I remember correctly) remains in use today. Once up
and running it requires little attention as there is a change over valve
that switches gas bottles automatically when one runs out. Typically we
weigh the bottle every few hours to monitor fuel levels and have been
doing it for so long that we have a decent set of calibration curves for
each FD event. G3JKY wrote the project up in RADCOM, if anyone needs
further info. The club has easily recouped the conversion cost in fuel
alone, and I think it is safer and easier too.
