Craig,
You're lucky not to also be hit with Health & Safety legislation, Risk
Assessment, PAT testing, CRB . . . you wouldn't believe the utter nonsense
that we have been put through just to set up a couple of antennas for
GR100MGY. All operators have to be pre-registered, hard hats are required
for setting up antennas.

'Blame & Claim' and 'Zero-Risk' are marvellous tools for national & local
politicians and petty bureaucrats to control how we all live these days: we
are now absolved of taking personal responsibility for our own actions. It's
spreading like a plague. Next it will be hard hats for Field Day.

Subject: [UK-CONTEST] Portable operation PLI

Hi all,

I have been going portable ontop of a local hill owned by the forestry
commision for a couple of years. They have now stated that they require me
to have 3rd party public liability insurance, has anyone had this issue
before, if so is there any good rates out there as I only go portable around
a dozen times throughout the year.

Many thanks
