[UK-CONTEST] Why do UK stations not beam to OZ in UKAC ?

At G6UW (80kms inland at Cambridge and with <100W to a 9 ele at 40 ft) 
we usually listen to the NE and E for a while but rarely hear much and 
struggle to break the pile-up of nearer continental stations working 
into DL, PA and ON. However we did work OZ1ALS reasonably easily last night.
