[UK-CONTEST] January 23cm UKAC - Report

The first 23cm UKAC of the year got off to a resounding start with some very high seriel numbers being exchanged and very high UK activity.
9 stations were active from Scotland this month, spread between 5 different locator squares.
I managed 19 contacts in the first hour, 15 in the second but just two in the final half hour due to a lot of time spent trying to work Peter G0VVE in Surrey for the first time on 23cm.
We both managed to hear each other but QSB took out his SSB signal with the all important report exchange.
Another Surrey located station, Phil G3TCU was worked earlier on CW at 584km for my UK ODX, just ahead of John G4EAT in Essex at 572km.
Whilst the rare IO82 square was worked this month thanks to Russ G4PBP being active from Wolverhampton, IO81 drew a blank though David M0GHZ was heard briefly.
The most activity appeared from IO83, IO94, IO92 and JO02, in that order.
ODX contact was with Kjeld OZ1FF in JO45BO at 782km on CW and closely followed by a very good SSB aircraft reflection contact with Hans PA0EHG in JO22HB at 729km.
