As you say there is no sign of G0CGR in the callbook, QRZ.COM or a 
Google. I suspect the JA has miscopied the call and it has never been 
issued. Was this a bureau card or direct? Handwritten so the submanager 
couldn't read it and you looked the nearest?

Probably nothing you can do, but maybe worth emailing your submanager.
